FIFA World Cup 2022 in Qatar records 2.45 Million Sales, 5,00000 still left

The much-awaited event of the year, FIFA 2022 World Cup is a couple of months away, where according to the FIFA governing body, the organizers have sold 2.45 million tickets. It was on Thursday, that FIFA said that more than half a million tickets got sold in the last sales period from July 5 -16.

The highest number of allocated tickets were sold for group stage matches, Brazil v Serbia, Cameroon v Brazil, Portugal v Uruguay, Costa Rica v Germany and Australia v Denmark.
FIFA in a statement said, “Fans living in Qatar, Saudi Arabia, the United States, Mexico, the UAE, England, Argentina, Brazil, Wales, and Australia led the way and the digital queues by securing the biggest number of tickets.”

After the launch of the last-minute sales phase, over-the-counter sales will begin in Doha. Also in the month of September, the launch date for the next sales phase will be announced.
Also, there is news that the World Cup will kick start the day earlier than originally scheduled with the Opening ceremony will take place before the host nation opens the tournament against Ecuador on Sunday, November 20.

Fans need to confirm their ticket purchase only through the official website and the price of the cheapest ticket for fans from outside Qatar is 250 riyals ($69). It is for the first time in the history of the FIFA World Cup, the event is hosted in the Middle East and has been pushed back later this year from June-July scheduled to avoid the summer heat in the region.
